Last weekend, the first qualifiers were held for the 2026
European Tour. Across four tournaments, players could book their place at the first four
Euro Tour events of the year. All Eastern European players without a Tour Card were able to qualify for the events.
Earlier in the weekend,
Boris Krcmar and Wociech Brulinksi had already secured places at the first two Euro Tour events. Krcmar qualified for the opening Euro Tour, the Poland Darts Masters, while Brulinski will feature at the European Darts Trophy. Sunday then decided who would also compete at this year’s third and fourth tournaments.
The third Euro Tour event is the
Belgian Darts Open, and once again it was
Krcmar who proved the strongest and qualified. He defeated, among others, Dalibor Smolik and Patrik Kovacs to reach the final, where the Croatian ultimately dominated 6-0 against Hungary’s Pal Szekely. Krcmar is therefore already assured of appearing at two Euro Tour events this year.
It is set to be a first appearance on the Euro Tour for Krcmar since the Dutch Darts Championship last year, where he exited at the second round stage to William O'Connor after defeating Gian van Veen in a last-leg decider. A former quarter-finalist on the Euro Tour, the Croat will be hoping to find more success in the coming months.
The final qualifier of the weekend had a spot at the German Darts Grand Prix on the line, and this time it was Hungary’s Patrik Kovacs who came out on top. He beat Petr Tous and Gyorgy Jehirszki with averages of 102 and 98, before facing Czech player Dominik Moravcik in the final. It was a tense contest that went to a deciding leg, but in the end it was Kovacs who sealed qualification for the fourth Euro Tour event of the year.
