The 2026
European Tour features fifteen events for the first time this year. The season opener is the Poland Darts Open, which takes place in Krakow from February 20 to 22.
For
European Tour events, the top 16 on the
PDC Order of Merit and the top 16 on the Pro Tour Order of Merit are seeded directly. In addition, each tournament has ten places available via the qualifier for PDC Tour Card holders. Four Host Nation Qualifiers also gain entry to the main event. The final two places in the main draw are reserved for players coming through the qualifiers in Eastern Europe and the Baltic & Scandinavian region.
The Eastern Europe qualifier for the first two events of the 2026
European Tour was completed yesterday.
Boris Krcmar, a former PDC Tour Card holder, secured his spot at the Poland Darts Open. “The Biggest,” who lost 3-1 to Luke Woodhouse in the opening round of the last World Darts Championship, edged Hungarian Andras Borbely 6-5 in the final.
However, it wasn’t a clean sweep for the Croatian. In the qualifier final for the European Darts Trophy, he went down 6-5 to Poland’s Wojciech Brulinski.
No success at Q-School
Krcmar recently attempted to regain his
PDC Tour Card. He came very close at Q-School but lost the decisive match. Krcmar previously held the coveted PDC Tour Card from 2020 to 2024.
Even so, by qualifying for the first
European Tour event of the year he strengthens his case for the
World Cup of Darts. Croatia currently has only one PDC Tour Card holder in Pero Ljubic, and Krcmar can make valuable ranking gains in Poland to secure his spot at the World Cup of Darts again this year, a tournament in which he has already appeared five times.
