Cameron Menzies and Matthew Dennant drop out of Players Championship 1 due to illness

Cameron Menzies and Matthew Dennant will not compete in the first Players Championship tournament of the year on Monday. According to their management, both players dropped out sick.

Jim Williams and Tim Wolters are also absent, bringing the number of absent Tour Card holders to seven. Earlier it became clear that Michael van Gerwen, Jeffrey de Graaf and Benjamin Drue-Reus had not registered.

Beau Greaves, Stefan Bellmont and Carl Sneyd had previously been called up through the Challenge Tour to fill in. They have now been joined by Darius Labanauskas, Tommy Lishman, Kevin Burness and Ted Evetts.
