World Darts Championship finalist, Luke 'The Nuke' Littler, talks through his pre-match ritual and his disappointment in not being able to play X-Box through the championships!
Luke Littler fell just short of winning the World Darts Championship for the first time in his career earlier this week. But the 16-year-old Englishman did not dwell on that for too long.
Littler was a guest on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain' the day after his loss in the final at the Alexandra Palace and was asked there about how his previous day went. "I had scrambled eggs and beans on toast for breakfast, well dinner because I woke up at 12," Littler says, inciting a laugh from presenters Ben Shepherd and Susanna Reid.
"Then we go to the venue, sign everyone in, get the wristbands on. Then I have my margherita pizza, throw for about 45 minutes, bull up to see how throws first and then play a bit of Football Manager before going back on the board."
Littler went down 7-4 against Humphries in the final, but his attention quickly turned to something else afterward. "Can't wait to go back home and play on the Xbox," he laughs. When asked why he didn’t bring the console down with him, "Didn't expect to get to the final!" Littler responds.
