Clayton after dominant display against Wade: 'I know I've got the game'

Jonny Clayton produced a dominant display in seeing off James Wade on the first night of action at the European Championship ending up with a whitewash win.
Clayton averaged 111.33 in the end in a 6-0 victory and said that he knows he's got the game and that it's a massive step in the right direction for him.
"I know I've got the game, it's just about being consistent and confidence is key in darts," Clayton explained.
"I'm so happy with how I played tonight, it's a massive step in the right direction for me.
"I knew what I had to do and it went well. I know James didn't play to his best at all but that's when you've got to take your chances and that's what I did."

If you want to see crowd passion... watch a match when German and Dutch players face off... that can be just as bad if not worse for crowd noises. - It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I blame the PDC to a certain extent though doubt they really care as they win regardless of which player wins or loses.Mysstree16-11-2024
