Ricky Evans edged out Glen Durrant in a game where the Kettering ace potentially shouldn't have won but he took his chances when 'Duzza' faltered to move through.
Evans said that for him he probably didn't deserve to win but that he's been losing similar games all year so it is good to get the rub of the green.
He added that he knows he can win titles, it's just the mental side that acts as a barrier and that he knows he has the game to beat anyone.
'I always play well in Germany. I probably didn't deserve to win that but I've lost games like that all year so it's nice to get a win on stage," said Evans to LiveDarts.
'I never have pressure, I just love playing darts. I knew Glen has had a year that people like me die for. I knew I could win.'
'I know I'm capable of winning events, it's just that little thing in there. I know I can beat anybody in this game, it's just frustrating going out first round in ProTours. It really upset me but I know I have the game to match anyone if my consistency is there.'
