Jonny Clayton has cruised into the semi-finals of 2022 Premier League Darts after breezing past an under-par Joe Cullen and will face James Wade shortly.
Clayton won through in a 6-1 win with a 98.2 average and 46% on the doubles with the winner of the semi-final to face Michael van Gerwen or Peter Wright.
While despite a seven point average gap, James Wade has booked his place in the semi-finals to face Clayton after a narrow 6-5 victory over Gerwyn Price who averaged 97.3 but was still dumped out by 'The Machine'.
Early on, Wade moved 2-1 up and the doubling was an issue for Price as he missed four darts at double and 'The Machine' converted double 10 to open up a 3-1 advantage.
It was back-to-back legs for Price who squared up but Wade continued to find the upper hand going 5-4 up but was sent all the way before Wade held throw on double 20.
