Jonny Clayton has produced a remarkable comeback to surge into the semi-finals at the
World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam in a 10-9 win over defending champion Gerwyn Price.
Clayton who beat Price in his last competitive tournament to win the World Grand Prix came from 7-2 and 8-4 down to see off the World Number One in a deciding leg in some style.
Price began the tie with an immediate break of throw in the form of an 84 checkout which set him up towards a 4-1 lead at the first break with a 108 average.
He remained in firm control of the match at 7-3 up but Clayton showed signs of a comeback with a break of throw to make it the aforementioned scoreline.
He followed that up with a hold at 8-5 and in an incredible portion of the match, he took out 100 for an 11-dart break to make it 8-6 before following it up with a 124 checkout on the bull to trail 8-7.
It was remarkably parity as he made it six out of the last seven legs won to make it 8-8. Five in a row was next up as he went one away and was suddenly looking to run away with the match at 9-8.
Price stopped the rot to send it all the way but that was a mere hold as Clayton was throwing for the match which he claimed with a superb 122 on the bull.
