Joe Cullen is into the Quarter-Finals with a big chance with Chris Dobey next up for 'The Rockstar' at the 2023 World Grand Prix after a high quality win over Ross Smith.

It was a 3-1 sets win for 'The Rockstar' in a match which featured 17 180's and a high checkout of 160 en route and his route now continues in Leicester with the first set in particular being towards the best of the former Masters champion.
Cullen had a superb start to the match. He started with a 74 checkout and followed it up with an incredible 160 checkout. A near perfect set concluded with a 41 checkout on double 16.
He opened up the second set with a continuation on double 10. Smith hit a 49 checkout on double 16 to make it 1-1.
Smith missed 130 on double five and and Cullen hit a 92 checkout with two double 18’s to go one away from a two sets lead.
Cullen missed 109 after Smith hit a 180 and ‘Smudger’ took aim at double 20 going one away from 1-1 in sets. Cullen and Smith missed multiple set darts and ‘Smudger’ made it 1-1.
Cullen took the opening two legs of the third set to go one away from a 2-1 sets lead. Cullen missed 108 for the set and Smith broke with a 92 checkout. But Cullen hit double four to go 2-1 up In sets.

Smith started the next set with a 107 checkout to go 2-0 up. Cullen broke for 2-1 and in the decider surged to the finish.
