Rob Cross is the first player through to the European Championship final after edging past Daryl Gurney 11-9.

Cross and Gurney couldn't be separated for the most part until the latter stages when it seemed like 'Superchin' had claimed the advantage. The current World Matchplay champion held his nerve though to reclaim the lead and he never looked back, he will face either Michael Smith or Gerwyn Price later.
Cross produced a strong start to proceedings as he opened up a 2-0 lead over Daryl Gurney to open up the opening semi-final. Gurney despite that pinned double eight; to square it up at 2-2.
At the interval though it was Cross who was 3-2 ahead having the early advantage; with a 104 average compared to 103.
Cross though missed darts to go further ahead and Gurney levelled himself at 3-3. It continued to be close at 4-4; with it very much evenly matched.
This was continued at the interval; as no player buckled under the pressure. Cross finally broke at 7-5 up but again Gurney closed the gap to 7-6 with a 76 checkout as he went to within one.
It was level terms with Gurney hitting a 118 checkout to make it 7-7. At the next interval it was Gurney who broke at 8-7 up and he seemingly had the advantage.
Cross though returned to make it 8-8 with a break himself and he went one away at 10-9 from there onwards. Could Gurney send it all the way?
'Voltage' set up 180 perfectly for 40 to win the match and after Gurney couldn't find the second treble 19 for a 164 checkout and the Hastings ace claimed the match.
