In recent times the professional competition between Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen has turned into a bit of real-life needle. Apparently though, that is now all behind the pair as 'Voltage' reveals.
“It’s just interviews, isn't it. Me and Michael had a chat about it. He’s good like that, you know? If he’s got something to say, he’ll say it, and so will I," says 'Voltage' in response to van Gerwen's admission that "I find it weird," watching Cross's mannerisms on stage.
Van Gerwen was speaking in relation the continued absence of Cross from the Premier League Darts lineup over the last few years.
''Do you know why it is that the PDC didn't choose him for the Premier League? It's because the PDC also thinks he's a boring player. You either have that or you don't. Either you're a player with character, or you're not. He just doesn't have it. That silly laughing and acting," commented the Dutchman.
Now though, all that drama seems to be behind the pair as Cross has revealed in an interview with Neue Online Casinos.
"We’ve cleared the air, it’s all good fun. That’s what I respect about Michael. If he’s got a problem, he’ll tell you," says Cross. "Maybe both of us were in the wrong the way we went about it, but it’s all sorted now. It’s water under the bridge. You have to spend a lot of time with these boys so if you can get along, it’s a lot easier than blanking each other and feeling a little bit awkward in the practice room.”
