Rob Cross is the first player through to the European Championship semi-finals with a 10-6 victory over Ricky Evans in which he had to survive a mini comeback.
Cross was 5-0 up and seemingly cruising but Evans made his way back into the tie closing the gap to 7-5 down..
Despite that it was 'Voltage' who won through with a 99.7 average and 55 percent on the doubles as he aims to win his second major of the year.
Like alluded to, Evans was 5-0 down but got himself back into the match at 5-1 down but despite that Cross was soon at 7-2 up but it was the break that did the Kettering ace a world of good as he was 7-3 down and back into it.
He returned to fire a third 180 in and double 14 for a 13-darter to break and peg him back to 7-4 down. As aforementioned, Evans sealed a hold at 7-5 down but Cross went three legs ahead at 8-5 up.
Evans remained in touch at 8-6 down but a late surge from Cross saw him move through to the semi-finals.
