Cullen seals final Premier League Darts play-off spot, set to face Clayton in first Premier League Darts Night 16 semi-final

It was the big shootout which dominated the talk before the final night of Premier League Darts action and it was Joe Cullen who took the honours and will be the fourth and final player involved in Berlin in a few weeks time at the play-offs.

Cullen was facing Peter Wright and sealed a 6-4 win over 'Snakebite' to seal his spot with a 94 average, two 180's, a high checkout of 105 and 85.7% on his doubles in a closely fought tie.

To start the tie, Wright once again tinkered with his set up and produced a 116 checkout to level up before both continued to exchange legs.

But after going 4-3 up, Cullen produced that 105 checkout to go 5-4 up and one away from the play-off spot before sealing it with a 49 checkout on double 1`6.

He will face the player who he could face in those play-offs in league phase winner and reigning champion, Jonny Clayton.

In what could yet be Gary Anderson's last Premier League campaign, 'The Ferret' saw off 'The Flying Scotsman' who finishes bottom 6-5 with a 95 average and 60% on his doubles as he looks for a fifth weekly win to cement a brilliant start to the campaign.
