On Thursday night the final week of the
Premier League Darts will be played in Newcastle. Only one of the four spots for the play-offs can still be confirmed.
Jonny Clayton is already sure of the league win, while Michael van Gerwen is already sure of second place. James Wade is also qualified for the play-offs, but is not yet sure of his third place in the final ranking.
The fourth spot for the play-offs goes to
Joe Cullen or
Peter Wright. Coincidentally, these two players face each other on Thursday night in Newcastle. The winner of that game will be the last semi-finalist in the 2022 Premier League Darts.
Wade can take a big step towards securing third place with a win over Gerwyn Price. If Wade loses to Price, Wright or Cullen can still take over third place from Wade with a final spot in Newcastle.
Clayton will play the play-offs on 13 June in Berlin in the semi-final against the fourth placed player. Van Gerwen meets the number three.
