Danny Noppert wins 50,000th leg in European Tour history during International Darts Open

Danny Noppert managed to put a special leg to his name on Sunday night during his quarter-final against Martin Schindler at the International Darts Open in Riesa.

The seventh leg of his match against Schindler was the 50,000th leg in European Tour history. The leg was won by Noppert via a 12-darter. The Freeze eventually lost the match 6-5, after which Schindler even managed to win the tournament.

The European Tour was established in 2012 by the PDC. Since then, tournaments have been played in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, England, Gibraltar, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Denmark and Austria. In 2024, a Euro Tour tournament will also be held in Switzerland for the first time.

Michael van Gerwen was most involved in the first 50,000 legs played on the Euro Tour. Of that number, Van Gerwen played 3331, of which he managed to win 62.9 percent of the legs. Peter Wright (2649 legs), Dave Chisnall (2218 legs) and Michael Smith (2030 legs) are the other players who played more than two thousand legs on the Euro Tour.
