The worlds of darts and boxing collided with
James Wade and Frank Bruno teaming up for a unique darts challenge in aid of mental health charities they both support.
Brought together by a recent Wade charity rally to raise funds for Bipolar, Bruno suggested a darts match between the pair with both suffering with bipolar and keen to raise awareness about the condition.
This match happened this past week at a Jewson store in Northampton, with both playing each other over one leg. 'The Machine' started way back on 501, with Bruno on 201.
Wade showed his class and sealed the leg before teaming up with the former World Champion for a 501 challenge taking out 113 to win £501 for both Bipolar UK and the Frank Bruno Foundation.
“I’m doing more stuff outside of darts than I’ve ever done, which makes me happy,” said Wade said as per
Daily Star Sport. “It’s because I want a life after darts. I’m not sure what that will be but the [mental health] charity stuff is a good thing for me because I can understand what it is.
