Daryl Gurney, Chris Dobey, Cameron Menzies and Thibault Tricole through to semifinals at Players Championship 19

Daryl Gurney, Chris Dobey, Cameron Menzies and Thibault Tricole in the last four of Players Championship 19 in Milton Keynes this Thursday afternoon.

For Gurney, Danny Noppert took a 1-0 lead early in the match via a 14-darter, but saw the next three legs go to his Northern Irish opponent. Noppert then halved the deficit to 2-3 with an 11-darter, but Gurney responded with a 12-darter. With a 15-darter and a 20-darter, "Superchin" then secured a 6-2 victory over Noppert.

In the semifinals, Gurney will take on Chris Dobey. 'Hollywood' won convincingly against Mensur Suljovic. Thanks to an average of 105.52, it became no less than 6-1 for the Englishman.

The other semifinal is between Cameron Menzies and Thibault Tricole. Menzies was too strong for Martin Lukeman after an exciting match 6-5. 'Cammy' threw an average of 103.86 in the process. Tricole triumphed 6-3 against Nathan Rafferty, who was previously responsible for the elimination of Michael van Gerwen and Jeffrey Sparidaans.

A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
