Noppert then halved the deficit to 2-3 with an 11-darter, but Gurney responded with a 12-darter. With a 15-darter and a 20-darter, "Superchin" then secured a 6-2 victory over Noppert.
In the semifinals, Gurney will take on Chris Dobey. 'Hollywood' won convincingly against Mensur Suljovic. Thanks to an average of 105.52, it became no less than 6-1 for the Englishman.

A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
