Mike de Decker is the latest winner in the PDC Home Tour after seizing his second chance at moving through to the second phase.
De Decker claimed the group with consecutive victories over
Conan Whitehead and
Steve Brown after it looked like the latter was well on his way to winning it himself.
His tie against Whitehead saw him ease through in a 5-1 victory in which he averaged ten more than his opponent to get his first points on the board after losing out to
Martin Atkins to begin his campaign.
In his game with Brown, 'The Bomber' needed three legs to win the group but De Decker won in the 5-2 scoreline he needed to deny the former ranking winner.
This meant with one game to go 'The Real Deal' had already sealed his fate with
Martin Atkins and
Conan Whitehead the battle of the players not in contention which was won by the former in a hard fought win.
Every evening, the four players will each face off; with each match being the best of nine legs. This group stage lasts 32 days with that amount of players set to reach the next round to play it out from there to crown a winner.
All players have webcams set up in their houses and say their scores out loud; to make sure that they can be inputted correctly without any cheating taking place.
With each night’s action commencing at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.
All
PDC Home Tour action will be broadcast live
on PDCTV for free to all registered PDCTV users; regardless of whether you have a paid or free membership.
In addition all live-scores can be followed
on DartConnect; with match statistics being available after every match.
