Jose de Sousa and Vincent van der Voort are the final players through to the second round at the World Series of Darts Finals.

De Sousa silenced the Dutch crowd with a phenomenal win over Danny Noppert as he dumped out the in-form ace in a return to form of sorts.

He hit a 104 average, 83% on the doubles and four 180's in seeing off 'The Freeze'.

It was a good start from Noppert who held throw to open up a 1-0 lead with De Sousa producing a 180 and 41 to tie it up.

Both players produced back-to-back 180's but after a poor requisite visit from De Sousa, Noppert eased to a 2-1 lead.

A 112 outshot couldn't be pinned by Noppert to break and De Sousa levelled up at 2-2 as the holds continued.

Both players had the shot at 101 with De Sousa unable to pin it but he returned for double 14 with Noppert unable to pounce and it was a 3-2 lead for the Portuguese ace.

Noppert missed the bull for a 124 and to break back and De Sousa pinned 56 to consolidate and go 4-2 up.

De Sousa's average was still around 105 as he went 5-2 up with another break to go one away. A 138 left 68 for De Sousa but a rare error saw a match dart spurned.

Noppert couldn't hit the big number though and De Sousa claimed it.

From silencing to delighting, Vincent van der Voort dumped out Nathan Aspinall just before that in a popular result for 'The Dutch Destroyer'.

He won 6-3 with a 93 average as he ended the charge of Aspinall who has been in good form as of late.

Van der Voort went 2-0 down against Aspinall but left the crowd happy at the interval as he turned the tables to lead 3-2 reeling off three in a row.

He then broke to go 4-2 up before continuing his dominant spell by holding to go one away from victory.

Aspinall on his throw hit 180 and 70 to keep himself in proceedings with Van der Voort sat on 51 for the victory.

A poor leg saw Aspinall first to a finish at 108 but he couldn't make inroads only to return for 52 but he missed one dart to keep himself in proceedings and the crowd erupted as Van der Voort took it 6-3.
