De Sousa produced a 99.3 average, four 180's and 50% on the doubles after a superb weekend at the Super Series following a good end to the first half of the Premier League.
De Sousa had a superb start to proceedings opening up a 2-0 lead with a 106.5 average and finishes of 93 and 99.
Three missed darts at double were punished in the requisite leg as De Sousa held throw and made it 3-0.
He surged further towards the finishing line with a 88 checkout on the bull and went 5-0 up as a result.
Finally Anderson at the tenth attempt at double got off the mark to go 5-1. De Sousa resumed the rout at 6-1 up but Anderson claimed back-to-back legs to make it 6-3.
This proved mere consolation as De Sousa regained his clinical form to go one away at 7-3 and he claimed victory with a 68 checkout on double 16 to win 8-3.
