Dennant wins third Challenge Tour title after surviving seven matchdarts

Matthew Dennant won the title in the eighth tournament of the PDC UK Challenge Tour. The Englishman won the final against Darren Beveridge (5-4). Dennant earlier claimed Challenge Tour titles in 2013 and 2020.

Dennant took out 78 in the last leg after Beveridge missed seven matchdarts. On his way to the final Dennant had triumphed against Adam Jenkinson (5-1), John Bowles (5-3), Darren Johnson (5-1), Jamie Lewis (5-1), Rhys Hayden (5-1), Jason Hogg (5-0) and Richie Burnett (5-2).

The Challenge Tour circuit is open to players who have participated in the Q-School, but have not won a Tour Card.

Due to travel restrictions still in place due to the corona pandemic, this year's Challenge Tour has been split into a separate circuit for both British and European players. The winners of both tours will be allowed to participate in the upcoming World Championship and receive a PDC Tour Card for 2022 and 2023.
