Doets restricts Rock from double Development Tour success claiming Event Four

It is a third Development Tour title for Kevin Doets who restricted Josh Rock from claiming back-to-back titles in Wigan.

For Doets, he has a Development Tour title every year since 2020 and it is his third different venue he has won a title in with Barnsley and Niedernhausen the home of both prior two titles on both Challenge and Development Tour.

The Dutch ace broke his opponent in the fifth leg with a 15-darter and finished the job moments later with a 106 finish for the match. On the way to the final, Doets had won against Bradly Roes (4-1), Dom Taylor (4-1), Lewy Williams (5-3) and Jarred Cole (5-3).

The Development Tour is the PDC's youth circuit. This tour is open for players aged 16 to 23. Players who turn 24 during the season are allowed to finish this year.

Each Development Tour tournament has a prize fund of £10,000. With the prize money a ranking will be made. At the end of the season the numbers one and two will receive an invitation to the PDC World Darts Championship, plus a Tour Card for 2023 and 2024.
