Dom Taylor captures title at 21st Challenge Tour tournament of the season

Dom Taylor won the 21st tournament of the PDC Challenge Tour on Saturday night. For 'The Tower', it is his first tournament victory on the Challenge Tour, although he had already won a Development Tour tournament.

Taylor, no relative of darts legend Phil Taylor, made it to the final match after wins over Sebastian Bialecki (5-1), Henry Coates (5-2) and Thibault Tricole (5-4), among others. He then triumphed 5-2 against Cam Crabtree in the final.

The Challenge Tour is open to players who participated in the Q-School but did not win a Tour Card there. The number one and two on the Challenge Tour rankings are offered a PDC Tour Card at the end of the season for the following two seasons. In addition, they may also participate in the World Darts Championship.
