Luke Humphries has qualified for the last eight at the European Darts Championships in Dortmund. Cool Hand Luke' proved too good for Krzysztof Ratajski in the second round on Saturday evening.
Ratajski missed some chances in the first phase of the match, allowing Humphries to take a 4-1 lead through two 15-darters and a 12-darter.
However, the Pole managed to make up the deficit. A 12-darter, 68-finish and 13-darter made it 5-5 after ten legs.
After the break, however, Ratajski failed to keep the momentum alive. Humphries broke 'The Polish Eagle' in the twelfth leg with a 65 check-out and another break followed in the fourteenth leg via a 12-darter. Humphries then finished the job with a 16-darter, making 'Cool Hand Luke' James Wade's opponent in the quarter-finals.
