Double Dutch delight as Damian Mol wins PDC Development Tour 6 title

Damian Mol secured a Dutch success on the PDC Development Tour on Friday. The Dutchman took the title by beating Keelan Kay in the final.

Kay beat Brian Raman, Ted Evetts and Ryan Meikle en route to the final, but started poorly in the final. Mol, who beat the likes of Adam Gawlas and Lewis Williams, took a 4-0 lead. Kay came back to 4-4, before the Dutchman won the leg-decider.

Earlier today, the first title of the day went to fellow Dutch player Kevin Doets. The latter dealt with the Irish top talent Keane Barry in the final.

The Development Tour is the PDC's youth circuit. This tour is open to players between the ages of 16 and 23, when they are not in the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit on January 2, 2020.

Following Sunday's Event Ten, the top two players from the final Development Tour Order of Merit will win a two-year PDC Tour Card and a place in the 2020/21 William Hill World Darts Championship.

In addition, players from the Development Tour Order of Merit will progress to compete in Monday's PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship Last 96.
