Saturday night the two semifinals of the 2023 World Grand Prix are scheduled. Michael Smith will then take on Gerwyn Price, while Luke Humphries faces Joe Cullen.
Statistics platform Darts Orakel examined the doubles statistics of the four semifinalists prior to the semifinals. A true standout favorite cannot be pointed out based on the statistics.
Luke Humphries, for example, has the highest double-in percentage of the four semifinalists at 53 percent. However, his finish percentage of 40 percent is the lowest of the four semifinalists. Gerwyn Price scores poorly with his double-in percentage (37 percent), but his finishes, however, are well taken care of at 49 percent.
Joe Cullen's percentages are the closest. His double-in percentage is at 39 percent, compared to 44 percent when finishing. With both statistics, however, "The Rockstar" is the number three of the four semifinalists. Michael Smith's statistics, then, are perhaps the best. The reigning world champion has a double-in percentage of 42 percent and a finishing percentage of 51 percent.
