Only four players still have a chance to win the 2023 World Grand Prix. Gerwyn Price is the only semifinalist to win the double-in double-out tournament before.

'The Iceman' won the World Grand Prix in 2020. The other semifinalists, Michael Smith, Luke Humphries and Joe Cullen, did not manage to reach the semifinals of this event before.

In the first semifinal, Price and Smith face each other. Price made it to the final match after wins over Danny Noppert (2-0), Krzysztof Ratajski (3-0) and Martin Schindler (3-0). Smith eliminated Callan Rydz (3-0), Brendan Dolan (3-0) and Andrew Gilding (3-0). Both players thus have not conceded a set during the World Grand Prix. Smith and Price have faced each other 47 times. In 24 of the cases, "Bully Boy" was the best. Price won 21 times, while they have drawn twice in Premier League Darts.

Next, Humphries and Cullen will decide who will make the final at the World Grand Prix for the first time in their careers. Humphries made it to the final four with victories over Daryl Gurney (2-0), Luke Woodhouse (3-0) and Peter Wright (3-2). Cullen dealt with Mike de Decker (2-0), Ross Smith (3-1) and Chris Dobey (3-2). Cullen and Humphries have already played 16 official matches against each other. Cullen was victorious nine times, while Humphries was victorious seven times.

How can I watch the World Grand Prix on TV?

The event will be broadcast in its entirety by Sky Sports. On finals weekend, the action gets underway later at around 8pm local time.

How much prize money is there to earn?

The prize fund includes £600,000 in prize money. This makes the prize fund now almost sixteen times larger than when the tournament started in 1998. Back then, "only" £38,000 was made available by the PDC.

All participants will receive 7,500 pounds of prize money credited to their ranking anyway. This amount can eventually add up to a grand prize of £120,000 for the winner of the tournament.
