The eighteenth Players Championship tournament gets underway in Hildesheim on Sunday. A field of 128 players will compete for the title, as the Pro Tour season continues this weekend.

Saturday's winner Gerwyn Price will face Jimmy Hendriks in the first round, while two-time world champion Peter Wright meets Danny Jansen. Number one seed Dave Chisnall awaits an encouter with Ryan Meikle in the first round. Josh Rock, who lost to Price in the final on Saturday, will get his tournament underway against Darryl Pilgrim.

Multiple major winner James Wade starts against Jose Justicia, and former world champion Rob Cross will play against Bradley Brooks. Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld has drawn Rowby-John Rodriguez for his first match. 

At each Players Championship tournament, £100,000 in prize money is distributed. The winner of the event receives £12,000 in prize money. The money earned counts towards several rankings which are used to determine the fields for multiple major events.
