Draw released for Players Championship 19: White versus Humphries and Wright against McGeeney among first round ties

Ian White is the top seed with Michael van Gerwen and James Wade both deciding to skip both events likely due to the German Darts Masters this past weekend and the World Matchplay coming up.

White though faces a tough test in the form of Luke Humphries who has been coming back into some form recently. Other ties of the round see Peter Wright, also one of the top seeds face off against Mark McGeeney.

Glen Durrant who has performed so well this season on the Players Championship series will take on Callan Rydz; while Raymond van Barneveld who lost his luggage on the way to the event will be involved for the first time in a while and he will take on the dangerous Boris Koltsov.
