'Dream come true' for Michael Smith who takes World Championship trophy to St Helens rugby alongside Super League and Grand Final trophy

Not many people have had a better start to 2023 than Michael Smith, the 32 year old kicked the year off with a World Championship title win and now things have only got better for the man from ST. Helens.

After his second major win Smith put a tweet out in a hope that his wish will materialise - which it later did.

'One thing I really want to do and would love to do. Is stand on the half way line with the boys with the league leaders and grand final trophy on there side and the GSOD [Grand Slam of Darts] and world champs on mine with that mighty red V in background @Saints1890'

To which ST. Helens R.F.C responded: 'We will make it happen! #COYS' and that they did.

Bully Boy's dream came true as he got to stand on his beloved teams pitch with his and their trophies as well as some of the clubs players.

This year could not have got off to a much better start for Michael Smith.
