Durrant survives two match-darts to claim draw against Van Gerwen

Michael van Gerwen and Glen Durrant have drawn in their clash on Night 14 of the Premier League Darts as the Dutchman missed two match-darts to claim a first win over Duzza.

With a point Van Gerwen is still outside the provisional spots for the Premier League Darts play-offs, as he levels within number four Nathan Aspinall, who has a better leg difference.

The five-time Premier League champion broke Durrant in the third leg with a 85 checkout, but Duzza broke back with a 105 finish. A third break of throw followed in leg five as Mighty Mike took out double 8 to lead 3-2.

Durrant missed three doubles to make 3-3 and the Dutchman punished him with a 94 checkout to double his lead. He held his throw in the 10th leg with a 12-dart leg, before moving one leg away from victory in leg twelve with a superb 108 finish.

Van Gerwen had an opportunity to secure the win in the 13th leg, but missed two match-darts. Durrant took out double 18 to force a decider and grabbed a point as he landed double 1 for a 15-dart leg.
