Only Glen Durrant is still certain of a place for the last four. The leader of the Premier League Darts earned a draw against Michael van Gerwen on Thursday evening. With a fifth place, the Dutchman has qualifying for the play-offs not in his own hands anymore.
Van Gerwen has as many points as Nathan Aspinall, who despite his defeat to Peter Wright still has a better leg balance than the Dutchman. Wright has one point more than the world number one. Number two Gary Anderson seems out of reach for Van Gerwen; the Scot needs one more point to secure his play-offs spot.
Anderson triumphed against Michael Smith, whose chances of the play-offs are therefore minimal. After his draw against Daryl Gurney, Gerwyn Price has to hope for mistakes from the players above him.
