Emotional Van Gerwen delighted to return to winning ways in Holland: “But I’m not done here”

Michael van Gerwen easily qualified for the Last 16 of the Dutch Darts Championship. 'Mighty Mike' defeated Gabriel Clemens 6-2 in the second round.
Van Gerwen was visibly in tears afterwards and was joined by daughter Zoë on stage as he reversed his poor defeat in Rotterdam.
“Of course it means a lot, everyone knows I had a lot of problems in Rotterdam, I didn’t play well. The wind played a big part in that game but then to push and try to perform better is always nice,” he said post match.
“For the second time on the Euro Tour my daughter is with me so she had a good weekend but more important is that I won my game and I’m glad I did.”
“I love to be back playing in Holland, I love to be back and playing my best. But I’m not done here and I’d like to thank you for all the support.
