Field for the 2022 European Darts Matchplay including Price, Van Gerwen, Wright and Humphries

The 2022 European Darts Matchplay will be played from 1-3 July in Trier, Germany. During the weekend 48 players will compete for the title in the ninth European Tour tournament this season.

Among the participants are big names like Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright and Luke Humphries, who won already three European Tour events in 2022. They will all enter the tournament in the second round on Saturday.

The 32 unseeded players will start the tournament in the first round on Friday, including Stephen Bunting, Mervyn King, Ian White, Callan Rydz and Daryl Gurney.

The European Darts Matchplay will be held for a sixth time. Joe Cullen is the defending champion after defeating Michael van Gerwen in the 2019 final. The tournament was not played in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronapandemic.
