Filipino players rule during latest Asian Tour weekend in Hong Kong

During the latest round of the PDC Asian Tour, it was all about the Filipino trio of Lourence Ilagan Christian Perez and Paolo Nebrida.

Ilagan and Perez, who are set to team up for the Philippines at the upcoming World Cup of Darts, ensured they will enter the international pairs tournament full of confidence thanks their continued brilliance on the Asia Tour.

PDC Tour Card holder Perez took the first event of the weekend, beating India's Nitin Kumar by 5 legs to 1 in the final before Ilagan, the overall leader of the Asian Tour then matched his World Cup partner and took a 5-1 win over his yet another Filipino, Reynaldo Rivera to win the second event of the Saturday.

On Sunday the Filipino dominance continued and Rivera would again reach the final but this time it was Paolo Nebrida who would deny him the win 5-4 in a nailbiting encounter.

If the likes of Ilagan and Perez can keep up the momentum that Filipino darts currently has they could prove a very dangerous team to come up against at the World Cup of Darts.
