Starting at 1 p.m. local time, the 21st Players Championship tournament of the year gets underway in Wigan this afternoon, with an all-star field of participants set to battle for Pro Tour glory.

Three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen starts his tournament against Lee Cocks, and Luke Littler, who triumphed yesterday at Players Championship 20, begins his quest for back to back success against Jamie Hughes. Reigning world champion Luke Humphries will also be present, taking on Christian Kist in the opening round.

Elsewhere, former world champions Gerwyn Price and Michael Smith are in action, going up against Mervyn King and Jimmy van Schie respectively. See the full draw down below!

A Players Championship tournament was also played on Tuesday. Then the final victory went to Luke Littler, who managed to win consecutively against Adam Gawlas (6-4), Jacques Labre (6-1), Andrew Gilding (6-3), Kevin Doets (6-2), Luke Humphries (6-2), Dave Chisnall (7-2) and Stephen Bunting (8-7).

A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
