Luke Littler was in superb form again as he sealed a ninth title of the season. It is a third Players Championship and a second title in the space of 48 hours. He also won the World Series of Darts Finals.

Narrowly defeating Stephen Bunting in the final, he didn't have it all his own way as he allowed 'The Bullet' a comeback. But it was according to the Nuke, the first ProTour he has actually enjoyed.

"I had to switch on. It was towards the end and I was getting a little bit tired. I was saying to myself, it's one last push. Stephen (Bunting) put everything he could on me then. But as soon as I set up the 124, I knew just hit my double 10," said Littler.

"I think I've played really well. I've come here with loads of confidence. It's probably the first ProTour that I've actually enjoyed playing. Apart from the first one I won. But no it's been good today, I enjoyed myself and I cannot wait for tomorrow (Wednesday)."

"I looked especially at the draw bracket today and who's on my board. I expected a better game from Andrew (Gilding) as he hit the nine-darter and a 100 and whatever (114) average. But I was glad to get past him and then towards the final, a good game against Luke (Humphries). And then to win it there."

Some note that Littler changes his throw on the floor and he said it isn't out of boredom, it is done specifically as in his eyes they are two different beasts.

"I do change my throw when I'm in the floor. The floor is completely different to the stage. I just find something and find what's comfortable.

Told that it is pretty mad that he can change his darts and throw and still win titles. He simply replied: "It's just what I do."

But managing his schedule is the next part. Tournaments come thick and fast and he said that he will pick and choose but still wants to win titles this season.

"I'll just pick and choose. My manager will do what's best for me and I'll tell him I'm not up for it or I'm too tired. But there's still plenty to win in the back end of the year."
