The second round lineup is complete at the
International Darts Open with
Gabriel Clemens and
Nathan Aspinall becoming the two final names to secure their spot.
Clemens, much to the delight of the German crowd in Riesa, managed to edge past former world champion,
Peter Wright in a thrilling last leg decider. Despite averaging just over 86, the German managed to secure victory with an 18 dart hold of throw in the last leg.
Completing the first day's play, Nathan Aspinall also prevailed in a deciding leg against Owen Bates. The Asp seemed to have things going all his way as he raced into an early lead. The darter formerly known as 'the Master' fought back well though, but in the 11th and final leg, it was Aspinall who secured the win.
