Luke Littler on double 10 has quickly become the most feared finish for the top PDC pros, with the teenage darting sensation being utterly ruthless when left with 20 required. As it turns out though, The Nuke on double 10 is not the most reliable finish in the PDC's history.
In his debut year on the PDC Pro Tour, according to stats collected by Darts Orakel, Littler's effectiveness on double 10 was better than any player in the world on any double in 2024, hitting the target with 50% of his attempts at it. To find a player with a better success rate at a single double over the course of a full year, we have to go back to 2019 and another PDC debutant, Glen Durrant.
In his own debut year with the PDC, 'Duzza', proved especially effective on double 16. Again, according to social media stats guru Darts Orakel, the three-time Lakeside champion's success rate on double 16 was half a percentage point better than Littler's on Double 10.
In 2019, Durrant reached the semifinals of the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix and the Grand Slam of Darts, also picking up a duo of Players Championship titles. Could Littler improve on Durrant's record in 2025? Only time will tell.
