Luke Humphries easily qualified for the second round of the
Poland Darts Masters. 'Cool Hand Luke' defeated Hungarian Nandor Major 6-0.
"I think the same thing happened to me in New York," Humphries opened a post-match interview with Online Darts. "I was really, really average in the first game and then the next day I was back to my brilliant best."
"I expect the same tomorrow whoever I play. You want to put a good performance in for the crowd but I'm happy and I'm through to the next round, where I can put that right and play better."
Top favourite
Humphries won the European Darts Matchplay just last weekend. "I think I'm one of the big threats to win this title. I'll have to play a lot better than that but against the top players I always play better myself."
The venue at the Torwar Arena in Warsaw was packed to capacity. "I think this sold out in 48 hours! It just shows that we're on to something massive here. I think it's only going to get bigger and better."
