Luke Littler comfortably qualified for the semi-finals of the World Darts Championship on Monday night. 'The Nuke' defeated Brendan Dolan 5-1 in the quarter-finals.
Littler was once again extremely impressive, averaging a touch under 102. "It's unbelievable. I think I've just gotten into the top 64 now with the prize money I've already earned, but would never have thought I'd get into the semis on my debut," reflects the 16-year-old in his post-match press conference.

The opening match against Christian Kist proved especially important for the teenage sensation. "I've been feeling confident ever since the Kist game when I hit that 106 average," he explains. "I've gone back-to-back ton-plus averages but I think it's more about the doubles. I could have averaged 70 or 80 but it's just all about getting over that line."
"Brendan was just another opponent in my way and I brushed him aside," Littler says of his impressive display. "Now it's about the semi-final."
Littler will take on the only player to have already won the World Championship remaining at the Alexandra Palace, Rob Cross in the final four. "His comeback was really good today (Cross fought back from 0-4 to beat Chris Dobey 5-4 ed.). I don't want to jinx it but every game I've played, I've gone two sets up so I'm a good player to get off the mark quickly," Littler previews.
Calls are also growing louder to invite Littler to the Premier League Darts. "I've seen what the Premier League does! You'll have Monday, Tuesday Pro Tour, Wednesday Euro Tour qualifiers, then Thursday Premier League, weekends Euro Tour so I think the PDC are going to keep me out of it because that would be just gruelling."
