Luke Littler heads to Nottingham on Thursday brimming with confidence, where Night Six of the 2026 Premier League Darts will be staged at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. The 19-year-old world champion hopes to extend his fine form after a highly successful UK Open, where he defended his title.

‘Finally’ first nightly title

Littler is back in top form after claiming his first nightly title of the Premier League season in Cardiff last week. In the Welsh capital he took down home favorites Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton in succession. That win immediately moved him up to third in the standings and gave him the confidence he had been seeking in recent weeks.
“I had a little dry spell, but I think I can say I’m back,” Littler told the PDC. “The form hasn’t gone my way in the Premier League, so to win in Cardiff meant a lot.”
As if that wasn’t enough, more success followed a few days later. At the UK Open in Minehead, Littler successfully defended his title. That made him only the fourth player since the tournament’s inception in 2003 to win it in back-to-back years. Yet another sign that the young Englishman is currently near-unbeatable on the big stages.
“I don’t think many people expected me to win in the Premier League on Thursday, and I don’t think many people expected me to come to the UK Open and win," he said.

“I missed too many doubles”

Strikingly, Littler himself felt he was still far from his peak level. “I played well in patches, missed a lot of doubles, but if I can win major titles not playing my best, what can I do playing my best?”
With that belief he steps on stage in Nottingham on Thursday. A rematch with Price awaits right away in the quarterfinals. The Welshman was his opponent in last year’s final on the Premier League night in Nottingham, adding extra spice to this meeting.
For Littler, the clash is a chance to extend his strong run and firmly insert himself into the battle at the top of the table. The Premier League contest remains particularly tight this season, with several players bunched closely together in the standings. A second consecutive nightly win could give Littler a significant leap toward the summit.

With two major victories in less than a week, Littler now travels to Nottingham with a clear aim: to strike again. If he combines his scoring power with sharper finishing, Night Six could once more become the stage for the teenage sensation who has taken the darts world by storm in recent years.
