Damon Heta has carved out a good run on TV after not being able to produce his best reaching multiple Quarter-Finals and he is into the third round of the PDC
World Darts Championship.
Heta took down Martin Lukeman with a 3-1 win with seven 180's as the tenth seed moves into the Last 32 with relative ease and it is job done for the Aussie ace.
After a poor first set from both, it was Heta who prevailed with the first blow. He hit a 68 checkout in the deciding leg to edge it with two 180's despite only averaging around 84.5.
A close first set soon turned into a nightmare for Lukeman as he looked likely to get steamrollered. Heta reeled off three straight legs with three 180's to his name as he went 2-0 up and went closer to the finishing line.
But 'Smash' gave himself a lifeline and looked to mount a comeback against Heta. Albeit that proved to be shortlived as Heta made light work of the final set to book his spot in the third round with three straight legs as Lukeman's comeback proved to be a mere consolation instead of a test for Heta. Making a name as usual for his walk-on, his darts too are doing the talking as he moves on.
