Keegan Brown organises NHS fundraising raffle

Keegan Brown is currently running a fundraiser to say thank you to the NHS staff working in the ICU/Isolation Ward in the hospital during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Brown can see this at first hand in his job as a laboratory assistant for the NHS. In this capacity, he examines for example, blood and urine samples to identify health problems.

Raffle Details

Many players have helped Brown with his fundraising campaign. Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Simon Whitlock, Glen Durrant, Dimitri van den Bergh and Devon Petersen, among others, have donated a signed and/or match worn shirt.

These items are available during an auction that will be held on Sunday, March 28. People can buy raffle tickets by sending £5 to keeganbrowndarts@outlook.com on PayPal. Interested parties can buy as many tickets as they want.

“Still overwhelmed”

At first it was Brown's intention to only auction a limited shirt of his own which pays tribute to the NHS, but slowly there was support from fellow darts players.

“Originally with my limited edition shirt I was hoping to raise £500, I’m pretty sure that has been blown out the water,” said Brown to Dartsnews.

“I am still overwhelmed at how many people have responded with generous offers. The prizes are incredible and it just shows how thankful people are for the NHS and the care it gives.”
