The line-up has been
unveiled for the new look ITV darts coverage which will have its first airing tonight at the Bahrain Darts Masters as well as next week's Saudi Arabia Darts Masters.
As
previously confirmed,
Gabriella Partington will be one of two presenters who will be involved in the coverage replacing long-standing ITV host, Jacqui Oatley with only a few faces remaining from that team.
Albeit Partington will only host the World Series double header this month in
Bahrain and
Saudi Arabia with Pete Graves who is a long-standing Sky Sports presenter after starting on their Sky Sports News channel in 2009 presenting the World Masters at the turn of the month.
Graves has anchored live football and rugby union matches on Sky Sports and will make his debut from January 29 - February 1. It is presumed that Partington and Graves will alternate when it comes to future tournaments with the former also involved in golf mainly as well as snooker and pool having led the coverage of the Ladies European Tour across the Middle East.
The 32-year-old has been a long standing presenter when it comes to darts being involved in PDC's The Darts Show Live as well as on radio for talkSPORT previously.
New look punditry team led by Mardle
ITV were previously rumoured to have lost the rights in mid 2025 with Channel 5 mooted to be taking over the free-to-air part which would be produced by Matchroom in any eventuality who run the PDC. But a new deal was inked in October ensuring audiences will continue to enjoy free-to-air until at least 2028.
These events include World Series as well as World Masters, UK Open, World Series of Darts Finals, European Championship and Players Championship Finals.
The new look punditry team is mostly familiar faces too with
Wayne Mardle as was also previously mooted leading the way. The long standing Sky Sports pundit and commentator as well as five-time World Championship semi-finalist will be involved.
Glen Durrant has long been a Sky Sports commentator and pundit since his retirement from the game and now brings his knowledge to ITV.
While
Glen Durrant who has also been on the Sky Sports team for two years after retiring from the sport will bring his knowledge and insight to ITV. As will
Mark Webster albeit the former Lakeside World Champion has long been a feature also on the ITV coverage on World Series as well as majors so remains as does
Chris Mason as expected.
The former World Matchplay semi-finalist unlike others in the ITV team seemed to hint at himself remaining over leaving like the others like Ned Boulting, Stuart Pyke and Alan Warriner-Little and having been part of the team since 2010 as well as working for talkSPORT in that time, he will be involved.
Dan Dawson to lead commentary team
As will
Dan Dawson who is a main stay of both Sky Sports and also the voice of the European Tour. He heads up a commentary team which mainly comprises vital elements of the talkSPORT team which presents during the World Championship, World Matchplay and Premier League in Mark Wilson and Ian Danter.
Wilson has also played a part in commentating on ProTour, Euro Tour and World Series while Danter is a broadcasting legend who has been involved on talkSPORT for over two decades.
