Luke Littler picked up another
World Series of Darts title in the Saudi Arabian Darts Masters, his sixth title despite this only being his third year fully competing. Only four players have more titles, than him, with 'The Nuke' coming very close to Phil Taylor's overall record.
Littler recovered well from a disappointing exit in the quarter-finals of the Bahrain Darts Masters, losing 6-2 against Gerwyn Price. He reversed the roles in a 7-5 win in the semi-finals. Beforehand he defeated Gian van Veen 6-4 in a repeat of the previous PDC World Darts Championship final, in which Littler on seven sets on the spin to take home a second world title at the age of 18.
Now 19, he is still going strong. He averaged 104.84 against the winner in Bahrain Michael van Gerwen to clinch the inaugural Saudi Darts Masters title.
Littler up to fifth in all-time standings
This win puts Littler outright fifth, overtaking Rob Cross who boasts five titles. Littler first won on the
World Series stage on debut, defeating van Gerwen in the 2024 Bahrain Masters. He won two more titles that year, firstly the Poland Darts Masters against Cross before winning the
World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam against former world champion Michael Smith.
After failing to make the final in the fist events in 2025, he ran rampant Down Under, taking the titles in Australia and New Zealand, boosting his tally up to five. The title in Saudi Arabia was enough to confirm his spot in the top five, as he looks onwards rather than behind.
He is tied on wins with both Gerwyn Price and Gary Anderson. The Welshman has enjoyed happy hunting ground on the World Series stage, back in 2024 defeating Littler 8-1 in the Australian Darts Masters for his fifth title, with his latest coming in last year's Poland Darts Masters. Anderson enjoyed the majority of his success between 2016 and 2018, last reaching a final in the 2020 Nordic Darts Masters.
Littler will back himself to overtake these rivals, especially Anderson who is not seen much on the World Series anymore. It is not surprising that Taylor is above him still. 'The Power' has racked up eight titles, with six of them coming in the first 10 events. He last tasted success in the 2017 Melbourne Darts Masters.
Including that
World Series of Darts Finals title, Littler is very likely going to overtake these three darters sooner rather than later. After them, it is a very long road to Michael van Gerwen, who has an astonishing 23 World Series titles to his name, making him by far the most successful player to compete on the World Series of Darts, which includes seven titles in the major event, famously putting in a brilliant performance to fend off Littler in the most recent event in Amsterdam.
The next
World Series of Darts event next for the players to focus on is the Nordic Darts Masters held in Copenhagen, which will last from June 5-6.
