Luke Littler fights back from the brink to reach semi-finals at 2024 German Darts Championship where Daryl Gurney awaits

Joining Dave Chisnall and Peter Wright, Daryl Gurney and Luke Littler have completed the semi-final lineup at the 2024 German Darts Championship in Hildesheim.

For Gurney, the in form and on a roll Nick Kenny was the obstacle. In the early stages, it threatened to be a very comfortable walk over for SuperChin too as the Northern Irishman raced into a 4-0 lead. Although Kenny showed fight, getting back to 4-2 and 5-3, an epic comeback never materialised and it's Gurney who progressed.

In the final four, Gurney will face Luke Littler. In a somewhat nervy opening salvo, the standards were a fair bit lower than expected, with each of the first three legs going against the darts. When Heta held throw in 16 darts in leg 4 however, the Australian began to build up the advantage. Upping his average above the 90 mark, Heta then moved 4-1 clear.

With a 16 darter and a 13 darter, Littler came roaring back into the tie at 3-4 behind. After Heta then moved one from the win, Littler ignited, first getting back to 5-4 and then, with six perfect darts en route, Littler forced a deciding leg. In the decider, it was Littler who had the darts, but only managed to kick off with 60. With Heta only firing back 34 in response however, Littler had the momentum and in the end, it wa the teenage sensation who secured the victory.
