James Wade was back in World Series of Darts action Down Under as he made the trek to Auckland to compete in the New Zealand Darts Masters. He has since made the trip to Australia with more darting action set to commence, but in the meantime he has had a bit of fun in Sydney at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

'The Machine' is stopping off in the city before traversing to Wollongong for the Australian Darts Masters, and was lucky enough to go right up close to some pristine wax statues of some recognisable figures.
He posted about his experience on Instagram, with the caption saying: "Meeting some of the Sydney locals during some quality downtime here in Sydney. The food is incredible."
He posed with some of the 'locals' before taking a more British turn as he sat on the throne next to King Charles III and Prince William. Wade would then go face to face with Cristiano Ronaldo doing his iconic celebration. Wade saw his chance and stuck one of his fingers up his mouth in a comedic picture.
Another royal, in the form of Prince Harry, was also not able to escape the mischievous Wade as the former Premier League champion put his finger in his ear. Among other encounters, his final one was posing alongside The Flash as he looks to dart off into the distance, boasting an Australian cap.
Many of his fans saw the funny side to this with a lot of positive interactions in the comments.

Wade has eye on glory in Australia

Wade did not go to Australia to glance at some wax figures, he was here to compete in some big darts tournaments and try to win them. In Auckland, he begun by whitewashing Kayden Milne before squeezing past Josh Rock. He was not able to produce a satisfying level against the eventual winner Jonny Clayton, averaging 90 as he crashed out in a 7-2 loss.
All attention now turns to Wollongong. Wade has reached three World Series finals, two of which coming in Australia in Perth and most recently Wollongong back in 2022. He will hope to put in a strong enough showing to challenge for the title, and again has been heavily boosted with no Luke Littler or Luke Humphries featuring. A first World Series title is up for grabs with Wade ready for the task at hand.
