Menzies sails past Hurrell in whitewash win, Greaves breezes past De Graaf as semi-final line-up set at 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship

Cameron Menzies is the last player through to the semi-finals at the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship after breezing past James Hurrell with 4-0 win.
He sealed it with a 93 average as he continued his run of not dropping a set and he will next face Thibault Tricole.
A 180 and double 20 saw Hurrell lead but Menzies drew level with a 90 checkout. A 103 from Hurrell went 2-1 up and a 46 checkout saw Menzies level up and he hit double 18 to go 1-0 up in sets. 
An 80 checkout saw Menzies lead the second set and he doubled his lead on double 10 sealing the set on the same target on double 10. He hit double four to begin three sets up and he hit double eight to go 2-0 up and one away from a three sets lead.
Menzies missed 86 on double 20 but Hurrell choked and could not hit double seven which allowed Menzies back to seal the set.
Hurrell hit a 41 checkout to make it 1-0 and stops the rot. Menzies hit back with a 105 checkout to make it 1-1. ‘Hillbilly’ hit double 10 to break back and make it 2-1. He missed 160 but set it up only to miss it and Menzies broke back on double 20. An 80 checkout on double 20 saw Menzies seal it.
While despite potentially not playing the match due to illness, Beau Greaves made the decision to play on and it was a good one as she breezed past Aileen de Graaf in double quick time.
Next up will be Lorraine Winstanley in the first semi-final with Rhian O'Sullivan and Kirsty Hutchinson in the other tie.
A 92 checkout on the bull began De Graaf’s throw. A 180 followed by double 14 saw Greaves level up. A 6 checkout saw Greaves break to make it 2-1. She hit double 10 to seal the set.
A 180 and double 20 saw Greaves lead in the second. It was another 180 for Greaves and an 87 checkout saw her go one away from the win. A 48 checkout saw Greaves seal it.
