One of
Michael van Gerwen's favourite pastimes in his spare time is gaming. 'Mighty Mike' has now received an ideal present that allows him to play his favourite video games anywhere in the world.
The three-time world champion has been given a so-called POGA travel case. This is a portable travel case made especially for game consoles. It contains a monitor and the bottom of the case has room for a PlayStation 5.
'I take my games seriously and now I can take them anywhere,' Van Gerwen wrote in a post on Instagram. 'POGA makes it possible with unmatched quality and portability,' he added. In the attached photos and videos, Van Gerwen shows what the POGA travel case looks like while playing Call of Duty: Warzone. Additional detail; 'Mighty Mike's' POGA travel case is specially customized with the Dutch darter's own recognizable green MVG Design.
The first place Van Gerwen can take his brand new travel case is Milton Keynes. The world number three is expected there on Aug. 21 and 22 to compete in two Players Championship tournaments. These are Van Gerwen's first tournaments after undergoing surgery in July. A day after the lost World Matchplay final against Luke Humphries, the Vlijmen native underwent surgery on his teeth for the second time. The surgery caused Van Gerwen to miss participation in three Players Championship tournaments and the two World Series tournaments in Australia and New Zealand.
Last week, Van Gerwen announced that the surgery had gone well. ''I feel good. I'm ready to pick up darts again for next week's Pro Tour. Thanks for all the support lately. Now it's time to get back to work," he wrote on Instagram.
